General Manager


    Continental Country Club is one of Arizona's first planned communities.  It consists of over 2,300 homes on approximately 1,200 acres in northern Arizona's majestic pine country. The home owners comprise the membership of Continental Country Club which consists of a 25,472 square-foot clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, eight tennis courts, a swimming pool, gym, dining facility and an off-property community center, Bear Paw.  As well, we manage the large Homeowner Association.  All my responsibilities are shared with a dedicated, excellent nine-member Board of Directors.

    As General Manager, I am entrusted with the responsibility for ensuring members' quality of life - a responsibility which includes providing excellent services, personnel and facilities.  I am committed to maintaining and improving your country club as well as enhancing both your lifestyle and the value of your property.

John Malin, General Manager

    It is an honor to work for the homeowners of Continental Country Club. 

    My professional background includes over 25 years of experience developing, managing and promoting businesses in the hospitality, golf and travel industries.  I was employed in the golf division for eight years with Marriott Hotels in both Arizona and Missouri, was Head Golf Professional at the Arizona Biltmore Country Club, worked as Vice President and General Manager of the Scottsdale Country Club, and was General Manager at Westin La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona.

    We are focused on enhancing every aspect of our Club, from the entryway to the furthest bunker on the green.  We hope to raise both awareness of and appreciation for the amenities available to all members.  To this end, we are establishing many new golf, tennis and social events as well as creating a viable communication network through both print and an interactive website.

    The community in general has contributed ideas and support for improvements and we encourage every member to participate.

    My wife, Sheila, and I thoroughly enjoy living and working in Flagstaff.  Part-timers prior to my employment at Continental Country Club, we continue to discover and expand our enjoyment of the area and the individuals who make up our community.
